We are a country Gastropub owned by farmers. Our farm supplies the beef, lamb and pork and we source other ingredients from local producers where we can. Every dish was delicious! We were a group of seven on a Saturday lunchtime. We ordered all the small starters to share, and enjoyed this and every course. We loved it!

We went to the Crown for a lovely valentines lunch. The food was superb and excellent value, staff were pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. All in all a wonderful experience.

Interesting and beautifully presented food without unnecessary foams and gimmicks. The perfectly cooked vegetables balanced well with the pheasant. The latter possibly just a little overdone was rescued with a tangy jus. This was the calm before the storm of valentines so we had intimate service fresh flowers on the table and a good wine at a reasonable price. My highlight was the surprise of our delicious apple tart being flambéed at the table ..thank you
