A social atmosphere fit for a president. Join us where vibrant cocktail culture meets fun elegance and comfort food at this Dupont Circle neighborhood favorite. In keeping with this, we have created a stunning interior design for Teddy and the Bully Bar that keeps patrons talking. Reflecting Theodore Roosevelt’s love for simple American comfort food, including steaks, oysters, fried chicken and house-made cornbread, our seasonal menus feature a contemporary twist on classic comfort dishes with a focus on quality, local and simplicity. We pay special attention to sourcing from our local producers, representing President Roosevelt’s belief to “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” We offer an exciting happy hour, energetic bottomless brunch (Sundays), and a perfect match of social energy and food culture.

Went for the 4 course Christmas Lunch based on the menu posted online (lots of seafood). We were happy that we landed on The Pembroke! Started with cocktails from the holiday menu - a mescal & a bourbon drink. Yummy. Raw & charcuterie bar was next. The stone crabs were a bit hard to manage because we didn't have crackers or lobster forks, but we made it work. Appetizers consisted of seared scallop (minus bacon) & lobster bisque, both of which were done to perfection. Entree was turbot, which was also cooked to perfection & the accompanying clams were the highlight for me. Dessert was ok, but the weakness of the meal - I had sorbet & my friend had Mont Blanc, which was definitely different than the usual format. I did like the addition of coffee ice cream on it - definitely the highlight of the dessert. Staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. Our server, Daniel, was extra attentive, but everyone chipped in to assist. Would definitely go back for a special occasion! Thank you for making Christmas a unique experience!

A wonderful Christmas dinner here. Food was plentiful and well prepared. Starter and dessert served by waiter. The main course and sides were buffet. Choice of turkey, salmon, lamb, and/or ham. Dozen side dishes. Something for all tastes. Loved the warm rolls. Plenty of street parking on Christmas but not regular work days.. Our second Christmas here. Plan to return next Christmas. Also I have eaten here on other occasions and food is uniformly good.

Food was great! Service/logistics were off as we had reservations but ended up getting seating 50 minutes after our reserved time. Didn’t help some of our mains were forgotten as well. Must have been an off night as we’ve been here several times and service is usually on point.

This place was extraordinary. It was 4 of us. My young adult kids and my husband and myself. We had the fish carpaccio and mussels to start. Both dishes were perfect. My kids were fighting over the mussel sauce in the end!! I had the soup of the day which was butternut squash made with a potato base and no dairy, incredibly flavorful!!! Delicious. Main dishes were pappardelle Alfredo, spaghetti with pancetta, filet mignon and I had the branzino. Everyone loved their food. I couldn’t finish the branzino since it was so much but I must say I order branzino often and this one is the best I have ever had! It was perfectly deboned, with so much skill, I was so impressed. The flavor was insane. A shame we are at a hotel and couldn’t bring the rest back. Service was perfect. Not rushed, very attentive, prompt clean up of plates. We had a female waitress. She was excellent! And the price! We live in Mismi and thought they might have forgotten to add something to the check. It is VERY reasonable. Loved a casual ambiance yet great setting, low background music. What a gem!!!! We loved it!!!
