Best Restaurants with a Scenic View in Russian Hill

Our first time here did not disappoint 🤩 Thankfully because we had made a reservation, the server was kind enough to relocate us to have a table with a Union Square/Rotunda view,. Which completely elevated our experience. We ordered a creamy lobster bisque that came in a vey aesthetic bowl. The tuna tartare was very fresh & the kampachi crudo special, was a great recommendation from our server Charlie. We shared the Seafood fettuccini that exceeded my expectations & the Dungeness crab melt was full of savory richness in every bite. We cannot wait to come back again & try more items from the menu!

Always love the view, even with the fog. We were sat promptly. Server was quick to get to our table. Many food options. I had the steak salad and clam chowder. Both were delicious and would definitely get again. My son devoured the chicken sandwich. He told me he was surprised it was that good! Know he will definitely get it again. Server was patient with me to check if I was in the rewards program (and I was - so yay for that!) It was a great lunch! Definitely recommend.

We have been enjoying Christmas Brunch at the Top of the Mark for over 25 years. This year was the best organized and the "people flow" was so much better. Excellent food and the lovely young woman who made my yummy omelet was so professional and crisp and fun to watch. I understand that the new manager, is Amu" I think is her name, who wore a spectacular magenta dress, kept everything smoothly running and was so gracious. I had the privilege of thanking her personally. Frank was our expert server (he has worked there over 25 years) and he was unruffled and did not miss a beat even when dealing with the crass and rude and snarky pair who sat behind us. THANK YOU Mark Hopkins for making our Christmas, yet again, memorable.

Exquisite food! The bocodillo is so delicious it feels like how I imagine heroin feels lol! And the membranillo gin and tonic was unreal. Also the staff are AMAZING! Our server Eduardo was so kind and engaging. A heart of gold! Especially with my elderly mother who has hearing and memory problems.

I brought my family into SF for a few days of shopping and fun to break up the holidays. We live in Marin and are picky about driving into the city for dinner. Being a native born San Franciscan and resident in SF / Marin my whole life, La Mar proved a great pick. My wife, my two grown daughters and I will definitely return. La Mar - great spot and thanks for a wonderful dinner!
