Best Restaurants with a Scenic View in Rancho Mirage

If you are in Palm Desert and want an outstanding meal, go to Pacifica. The Ahi Tuna is to die for. It is what we always order for an entrée on our annual trip to the area. The salads are ample for a beginning. The Crème Brulee for dessert is a must have. Thank you, Yobany, for taking good care of us! We will be back!

Another fantastic experience at The Edge. From the moment my husband and I walked in the door, we were greeted with smiles from all staff and made to feel at home with manager, Daniel. We sat at the bar and Ron delivered the most special cocktails and wine to pair with our meal selections. A must tried is the fries lobster tail and be sure to order extra bread! The gluten free focaccia is one of the best I’ve ever had! Thank you Edge team and the Ritz. Can’t wait to return!

We were seated at a very nice table in the main courtyard and the ambiance was so lovely. Our server was top notch both in his friendliness and skills, they don't come much better than this. The only glitch is my husband's food came and when he took a couple of bites he realized it wasn't what he ordered as there was no chicken and large shrimp in the pasta, plus he thought it was supposed to be a different pasta. They quickly changed out his meal and brought the correct one super fast and all was good. My dinner was salmon, a very nice large piece with very large delicious asparagus and coconut/pineapple jasmine rice. It turns out that it was way too sweet for me but the salmon wasn't flavored with it, only the rice plus there was more sauce to add to the salmon, which I didn't. I wouldn't order it again unless I could just get the whole meal seasoned nicely with no fruit flavoring (I personally like a Thai coconut flavor so thought I would like this too but the added pineapple flavor didn't work for me so the rice was the only part that I didn't finish. We didn't stay for dessert as we were off for drink somewhere else but we will look forward to dining there again when we are in town - it was really nice and very special. This restaurant knows how to treat their customers very well.

For mains, the salmon was flawlessly cooked, its buttery texture complemented by mashed potatoes and gravy, and French green beans. The braised ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender, rich with deep, savory flavors, and the crab pasta was a creamy, indulgent treat, perfectly balancing sweet crab meat with al dente noodles—perfect al dente! Every dish was presented like a work of art, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail. Pairing the meal with a glass of crisp, effervescent Prosecco added a celebratory touch to the evening. La Quinta Cliffhouse delivers not just a meal, but an experience—combining incredible flavors, stunning presentation, and a setting that feels magical. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining adventure.

The waiter was very enthusiastic and the food was amazing per usual. We were disappointed that our table was not ready when we arrived when I think I made the reservation weeks ago. I did have a dog, but they didn’t seem to mind. There were plenty of tables outside and we ended up in the corner. A couple after us got a better table right in front of ours.
