Having spent years supplying London’s top restaurants through their separate wine businesses, Joe Haynes and Benedict Butterworth have joined forces with Tom Hurst, who has worked at Brawn, The Marksman, Levan, and most recently as Head Chef at Lasdun, to launch the trio’s first restaurant together.Located in a Grade II listed building on Cloth Fair, Cloth Restaurant is part of a historic row of buildings in the City of London that survived the Great Fire of 1666. Down this atmospheric alley opposite St Bartholomew church, Cloth is taking over a double fronted corner site that’s beneath the former home of poet John Betjeman and next door to the two oldest residential buildings in London. Fabulous French place down a little alleyway off the very pretty Charterhouse square. Charming and full of character with an authentic, neighbourhood feel. Great food, really classic and delicious. Super service. Good value. In short, a delight!

Met all our expectations in terms of special festive ambience! So gorgeous! Service was attentive and helpful, and our lunch wasn’t rushed in any way. Food was delicious but unfortunately not hot. We didn’t mind because our experience was wonderful overall. Treat yourself to this special restaurant and you won’t forget it.

I don’t usually find the time to write reviews, but I wanted to make sure I documented how totally lovely our experience in Cloth was on Tuesday night. The room and atmosphere was cosy and intimate, the food was comforting and delicious and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Particularly as I snuck in a three week old in a carrier in my chest. It was my partner and I’s 16 year anniversary and we wanted to celebrate but knew we’d have to bring the baby so decided to chance it. The baby was thankfully silent and sleepy for the meal and I don’t think many realised she was even there but the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable even though I know it was not ideal. I will always remember this impeccably warm service and am looking forward to coming back again sans baby very soon. Thank you.

Simple menu, executed brilliantly. Great staff, very attentive and superb quality food at a great price. I would highly recommend Apulia. It works as a great option for 1-1 dining and for large groups (I've experienced both).

We had the most wonderful dining experience. From our arrival to the good byes, the entire team at Club Gascon was amazing and made our evening very special. The food was superb and the wine pairing worked wonderfully. Hope to come back!
