Best Romantic Restaurants in Hauppauge

Have been here many times, but this time something was off. Food was great so will start there. Service was rushed, sloppy, yet it took forever even though restaurant was not really busy. Our server was nice, but was always rushing and moving so hard to get his attention. Had about $100 worth of seafood left on our seafood platter and someone just came and cleared it off so quickly, that we shouted for him four times before we could get his attention. Did not even think to ask if we were done. Seemed to have lost some of it's higher end polish but kept all of it's higher end prices. Mid-December and they were just putting out Holiday decorations?

Fantastic experience. The food was great and so were the vibes. Unfortunately someone in our party had her leftovers misplaced but the restaurant courteously offered her a $50 gift card which was astounding. I’ve been recommending this place to everyone I know.

Your Chicken dish is what I primarily returned for. Always amazing! The server Steven was very attentive, engaging and efficient, as were the managers Jeremy and Tracy. Nice to see them even at the host desk. Thank you all for a lovely evening and for being so concerned about my food allergies.

Small holiday dinner with coworkers. Everyone was impressed with the amazing atmosphere. From the lively bar to the gorgeous dinning room. Food and Service are excellent and the Wine List is amazing with lots of great options. Can’t say enough how happy I am that I chose The James for my team’s holiday party. Everyone had an incredible experience.
