Tapas Barcelona has a welcoming ambience, great tasting food, and professional staff that is efficient without hovering. This was a return visit for us before attending a play at Northwestern. It's a 5 min. walk from the Church St. Self-park public parking garage to the restaurant. The abundant menu items are reasonably priced and easily shared. The basket of bread slices are perfect for getting the last bit of sauce off a plate. No ear splitting music or deafening beat. Wonderful preparations. We had pork belly and crab cake as appetizers, roasted duck breast and crispy roasted sea bass with lobster tortellini as entrées, followed by an amazing lemon cream and wild Berry Napoleon. A refreshing sorbet was also served as s palate cleanser between courses. My husband and I are newbies to Cambodian food, so we had lots of questions about the menu. Our waiter, Dakota, was happy to answer all of them and give recommendations based on our preferences. The staff is well-prepared to help customers, which made the experience even better. All the food was delicious. I had a glass of pino noir and my friend had the pomegranate drink. I can’t remember the name. Both were very good. The valet service was also excellent. My only complaint is when I booked the reservations there was only a 2:30 and a 2:45 seating. When we came in there were a lot of open tables.
