    We arrived and the place was overrun with people waiting for a table but we got a drink and were seated in the main dining just over a half hour. Service was excellent, portions are large, and the food was delicious. Steak for 3 could serve 4 or 5 people. Flavor of each dish was very tasty. I enjoyed lobster bisque and Cesar salad, and appetizer crab cakes, which had almost no filler. Leftovers are good too. Christmas Eve success.

    Vida was packed last night. 💃🏻 This is a brand new restaurant in Thornwood by the talented husband and wife duo at Augustine’s in Mamaroneck… Brianne Myers and Marc Taxiera. I love them as humans and am in awe of what they do as creatives/restauranteurs. I was worried about this newest endeavor only because their presence, in addition to incredible food, is such an integral part of Augustine’s success. How will they be able to nurture this baby as beautifully as their first? After visiting last night with a few friends, I no longer have any fears. Vida has been open a month and it felt like it had been operating successfully for years. I am neck deep in Christmas everything, but I am just so happy for Brianne and Marc, but also for Westchester. We needed some new “Vida” around these parts. Will def include comments under the photos. One more thing… omg the food. Oh and the glassware. and the patio that we will all enjoy in the Spring! ok… gotta go! So many gorgeous details.     We love our tradition of celebrating one of my children’s birthdays here every year. My children love to do the cheese and chocolate fondues - which is fun and very yummy. Restaurant’s entree choices has improved which helps a pescatarian like me. It would be nice to see more salad choices, better portion size, more vegetarian broth, and vegetable choices in the future. That the restaurant puts a wish for the birthday person on a big screen at entrance is always a very sweet welcome and service is truly A+.

    Always a delicious meal! The dips and pita were fresh and creamy. The filet mignon kabobs and rice with dried cherries and pistachios was perfectly cooked and the rice was fragrant and tasty. Service is always excellent but not obtrusive
