Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in Lake Bona Vista

Dopo was phenomenal! The ambiance was romantic and cozy. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable providing clarity on the menu and suggestions for pairings. My partner is gluten free and I was concerned he couldn’t eat many things on the menu but they had unreal gluten free bread, pasta, and dessert options. I ate it and wouldn’t even have known it was gluten free. Will 100% be back and telling all our friends

Wow is all we kept saying and kept hearing around us. Everything was phenomenal. Bread service, the wine the sommelier recommended, the appetizers, entrees - no notes. We already have plans to return and can’t wait to eat our way through the menu. Can’t recommend enough.

Managed to get a last minute booking here and I’m so glad we did. The cocktails were incredibly unique and unlike every other restaurant in Calgary, so tasty and well balanced. Had the tomahawk steak for 4 people and ended up needing boxes, incredible value for money with that item! The Josper roast on the steak was an excellent touch. Our server Julia was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy or distracting. The music they had playing in there was SO fun and brought the mood up for us, helping us keep the energy flowing with our conversations. The service, food and drinks were all so perfectly timed, I’m massively impressed. Thank you so much to the team at FinePrint, you guys have very quickly become my go to place for a night out 💖

Seated outside on December 20th, doesn't get better than that! Split a lovely bottle of cab sauv that ended up being at happy hr pricing, both the starters and mains selected were aesthcically beautiful and absolutely delicious. The wait staff were attentive and so kind. We lucked out with the most lovely ppl that ended up having their meals out on the patio as well and the whole evening turned into a communal sharing of dinner, it was such a wonderful evening and the view could not be beat. We will return!

Where do I even start! My husband and I came here for the first time to celebrate our three-year anniversary, and I cannot believe we hadn’t come here sooner. The ambiance was perfect—warm lighting and cosy decor set the stage for a lovely evening! We were greeted by Stu, who is super friendly (and very funny) and he made us feel right at home! We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was absolutely lovely and took the time to chat with us and gave us recommendations for other restaurants as well, as we are new to Calgary. They offer a wide variety of dishes, but we opted for their specials. I ordered the seafood pasta, while my husband chose the wagyu steak. Both dishes were beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. To finish off the evening, we indulged in dessert. The Nutella cheesecake was heavenly—light and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, our experience at Carino was exceptional. We left feeling happy, full, and excited to return. If you're looking for a place that combines great food with a lovely atmosphere, Carino is definitely the place for you!
