- TTheresaVIPChicago / Illinois •30 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoMy husband and I had dinner here for the first time. We were a little late for our reservation, I had called ahead to let them know and it wasn’t an issue they still held out table. My first impression was WOW beautiful! We were seated right away. We started with the garlic bread fondue and my husband had the bootlegger and I had the prohibition both drinks were delicious (since I’m competitive mine was better-haha) We each had the T-bone steak and shared the glazed carrots and cheese potatoes. The sides were very good. Now on to the steak - AMAZING!! The steaks were cooked perfectly! So delicious and it’s a big steak (go hungry). I could go on but try it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed. I know the restaurant advertises as sports bar so having TVs with sports games on was no surprise. My thought was the TVs would be at the bar not around the restaurant. That was my only disappointment. So many TVs around the walls really took away from the beauty of the old Chicago photos of the theater district, the beautiful “leather” walls - the architecture of the restaurant gives you a glimpse into the past. The TVs just take away from the perfect atmosphere. We absolutely loved this restaurant!! We will be back again!More infoState and Lake Chicago TavernPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Downtown / Loop•4.1
- MMary JoChicago / Illinois •8 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoI would give this 5 stars except for the price - a bit steep for lunch -,but the food was amazing except for the risotto which was too sweet for a main course. I have just returned from Italy and I would say this food was very authentic. The calamari was exceptional and I’ve ordered it in a lot of places. I loved the ambiance and appreciated the quietness of the restaurant especially given that so many places thrive on a high noise level. We also enjoyed the music selection.More infoAcantoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown / Loop•4.8
- RRebeccaVIPChicago / Illinois •7 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoMy very favorite restaurant in the city! They have consistently high-quality, wonderful dishes and rotate the menu so there’s always something new. They are great to us and our kids with special needs and dietary restrictions and we’re always great when they were babies as well. I’ve been coming for years and always bring out of town guests here. Get the scotch egg, drinks are great, the latest past I got was amazing and if you’re lucky to come for brunch, try the pastries!!! They are out of this world!More infoThe GagePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown / Loop•4.7
- HHyeVIPHouston •9 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024The quality of the meat is outstanding, but the food overall is delicious! Everything we ate was amazing. We had the wagyu set, soybean soup, dumplings, tteokboki, steak tartare, raw oysters, monkey bread, and banana sesame. Homemade kimchi!!! All delicious and the service was phenomenal. Thomas, Kellen, Eric, and Alexis were all attentive and made everything perfect. Will be back every time we visit Chicago from Ohio. Could not have been happier with the experience.More infoPERILLA steakhouse - RiverwalkPrice: Very Expensive• Korean• Downtown / Loop•4.6
