On the food side, you always know what you are getting at Nobu but our experience at this location was beyond excellent because of our server! Arisa was AMAZING! She knew her stuff from cocktails to food to specials of the day to desserts! She was attentive and polite and professional! She is the perfect server! (and this comes from a previous server and trainee for high end restaurants) I loved her! On the food side we ordered a lot of items as there were 6 of us, edamame, rock shrimp, tuna nigiri, salmon nigiri, yellowtail hamachi, spicy tuna crispy rice, soft shell crab roll, tuna roll, the special they had of Amberjack with shaved truffles! ( so good!!) and black cod miso of course!! For dessert we had the yummiest Xurros and a whiskey cream something or other… everything was outstanding! I cannot wait to go back!More infoNobu NewportPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Newport Beach•4.7

The oysters were fresh and delicious, especially the Kumiai variety – a perfect start to the meal. The calamari was tasty but a bit on the undercooked side, the Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, a nice addition to our appetizers. For sides, the au gratin potatoes were rich and flavorful, but the spinach was a bit too salty for our taste. However, the highlight of the evening was definitely the porcini-rubbed bone-in ribeye with 15-year-aged balsamic. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor – highly recommend this dish! Overall, the food was great, with just a couple of minor hiccups. It’s definitely a place I’d return to, especially for that amazing ribeye!More infoThe Capital Grille - Costa MesaPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Costa Mesa•4.8

Megan was our server, and she did a great job! The girl who was her busser that night was also awesome. I can’t wait to go back :)More infoFleming's Steakhouse - Newport BeachPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Newport Beach•4.5
