Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in San José

My friend and I decide to do the 7 course meal designed by the Chef. My friend selected the Classic Wine pairing and I the Chef's pairing. Both were incredible and really helped highlight the elements of the dishes and drinks. The meal was topped off with a creative explanation of the inspiration for each dish and a keep sake to take home. The food was delicious and the entire experience was incredible. Highly recommend this unique gastronomical adventure.

The food is sensational. The service is excellent. Sergio is the captain. He has the floor running like a fine racing yacht. Being a chef working in NYC for 30 years the details are clear. The evening is a smooth seamless experience. Pablo Bonilla, Chef and founder, has set crazy high stands for the restaurant experience that include: Blending indigenous ingredients and preps with innovative approaches based in classical technique creating connections with culture and traditions. The crew at Sikwa makes the crazy high standards come true! Its one thing to talk the talk, Bonilla and the crew at Sikwa walk the walk. The bottom line is: The food, service, beverage and ambiance are world class. GO NOW! We had 4 or 5 of the items on the menu that the kitchen organized in to a course by course tasting menu. Sergio paired wines that were spot on. We had 2 different cocktails both excellent. And were gifted a few beautiful chocolates for an exceptional finish. I will not endeavor to play the food critic and do a plate by plate description. I believe that everything at Sikwa is exceptional. What a wonderful and surprising evening. Thank You Sikwa.

Best tasting menu I’ve ever had. Rivals the best of NYC and SF for a fraction of price

We had the most delicious burgers - perfectly cooked, topped with Brie, caramel onions and slivers of grilled portabello. Excellent bun and outstanding fries. Nice glass of Merlot accompanied the meal.
