Villa di Geggiano has for more than five centuries, been renowned for hospitality and generosity as well as delicious food and sumptuous wines. Located at the heart of Tuscany, it has a history of exporting mouth-watering wines to England, having been possibly the very first to bring Chianti here in 1725. The menu features true Tuscan cuisine, with many of the ingredients being imported especially from the Villa and surrounding farms. Prepared with passion by a hand-picked crew, these maestros employ traditional techniques to recreate the essence of Siena. The care which goes into the menu is matched only by the attention to detail with which this landmark has been transformed into an elegant yet comfortable place to relax and enjoy good food, great wine and excellent company. At the well-stocked bar, you’ll enjoy classic Tuscan cocktails, not to mention the glorious wines. All in all, the Villa di Geggiano is a little corner of Tuscany, right at the heart of W4.

The name MESTIZO suggests “mezcla” or “fusion”, a term that was utilised principally to designate the descendents of indigenous Mexicans with Spaniards. This is our second venue in London. 'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe, has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. Sunday roasts with 'all thetrimming's' - we tried beef and pork - had everything a Sunday roast shouldhave. Somewhere rather spiffing to go' (Fay Machsler, Evening Standard)

One of the best meals we’ve had for a long while, food was superb and we (6 of us) pretty much covered the menu! My only comment would be that service wasn’t the best, we had quite a variety of wine across courses, they hold the wine at the service station so they can pour (which is lovely) but they don’t keep a proper check so we sat around quite a bit waiting to be topped up, also at each course the wine arrived either part way through or in terms of the start course - after we’d finished Perfectly pleasant, nothing was too much trouble and the matre de is superb when involved

It was a Monday night so the restaurant was not very busy which was a plus! The food was absolutely delicious with lots of options for vegetarians which is often rare. The selection of margaritas was fantastic but their selection of white wines was disappointing. Not everyone that goes to eat Mexican food wants tequila for the whole evening. The service was very good and I will definitely be returning but hopefully a few more white wines could be added to their wine list! .
