- MMichaelaLondon •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWhat a beautiful place to eat. The building has been wonderfully restored and the food was gorgeous. A shout out to the bartender who made the most delicious Appletini I’ve ever had! The staff were attentive but not overbearing - they couldn’t have been more friendly. We started in the champagne bar before moving to The Chapel to eat, and then retired to a private lounge for after-dinner coffee.. All in all an excellent evening; we’ve already booked our return!More infoThe ChapelPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary British• Bodmin•4.2

The staff were very apologetic but our guest was most upset. I would say it was the Saturday before Christmas and it was so quite and no background music playing, which was a shame.More infoSt Tudy InnPrice: Very Expensive• British• Bodmin•4.4

XMAs parties made it a bit noisy, but nothing could detract from the quality of the food or the value. Twenty Seven has to be the best restaurant in the South West and Kingsbridge is lucky to have Jamie and his team. They are always trying something new to get diners through the door while never sacrificing quality. A lesson to other restaurants and pubs in the area who week in week out offer the same average food.while charging similar prices to Twenty Seven. Jamie operates in a higher stratosphere.. I urge everyone to to patronise it or we will loose this great restaurantMore infoTwenty Seven by Jamie RogersPrice: Expensive• British• Kingsbridge•4.8

From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with a warm and genuine welcome that sets the tone for the experience ahead. The hosting is impeccable, striking the perfect balance between attentive service and allowing guests to enjoy their meals at their own pace. Every dish on the menu speaks to the care and thought that goes into sourcing the finest ingredients. The seasonal offerings ensure that every plate is as fresh as it is flavorful, showcasing the best of what Fowlescombe farm and producers have to offer. Whether it’s a classic pub favorite elevated with a modern twist or a more adventurous special, the flavors are consistently impressive. The atmosphere is equally inviting, blending traditional pub charm with a touch of contemporary comfort. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or celebrate a special occasion. It sets a high standard for what a pub experience should be: exceptional food, outstanding service, and an unmistakable sense of hospitality. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality in every sense of the word.More infoMillbrook Inn, South PoolPrice: Expensive• British• Salcombe•4.6
