- GBGaleBOrange County •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoVisiting Rancho Valencia is a treat in itself. I believe they care about the quality of their food and it shows. Everything was delicious, fresh and seasoned well. Don’t skip the chance to taste their homemade focaccia bread! Everything we ordered was a ten out of a ten.More infoThe Pony RoomPrice: Very Expensive• American• Rancho Santa Fe•4.8
- JJaimeVIPSan Diego •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe absolutely love the ambiance here! The design and layout of the entire place is beautiful and spacious. I feel like they need a couple more fire pits outside so stay warm by. Its nice to arrive early and have a cocktail from the market around the fires. Grab some farm fresh items and freshly baked treats, sweet little market. The Haven restaurant upstairs is very nice and the service is top notch. The food is most certainly farm fresh and prepared wonderfully. We loved the prawns and hummus apps. I would say the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the meat both times I've been here. The short ribs were dry and a bit gamey because its grass fed, carrot finished beef. And the pork belly was tough and chewy, not sure why on that one. I prefer both to be bit more tender and juicy. The wine list here is also fairly eclectic, perhaps a few more known wines could be added. Other than that we enjoy this place very much and will be back to try more dinners!More infoHavenPrice: Expensive• Californian• Encinitas•4.3
- AAllisonSan Diego •17 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis place is one of our favorite places to eat. I always love their salsa (great earthy flavor) and chips - they season their chips and it’s so good. We love to start with the eloté spears (they are spicy but that is part of the fun of them!) and then we share any dish that also has the fig molé… it’s the best molé on the planet. Last night we got the chicken enchiladas and added the fig molé. It was much more spicy than usual which took away a *bit* from the flavor because it was a tad overpowering, but it was still really good. To drink I ordered a virgin mojito and it was great. I added some of my own sweetener but that’s just a preference thing. The blend of everything else was perfect. The waitstaff is SO KIND here. They are attentive and accommodating. I am hard of hearing and cannot hear a thing, usually, because ambient noise messes with my hearing aides. But they put us in the less busy side room and even turned the music down (without me even asking!) so that I was able to hear better. I’ve never had any waitstaff do that before and that alone makes me rate this place 10/10.More infoTamarindo Latin Kitchen- Del MarPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Del Mar•4.8
