Situated in the Red Rocks country 17 miles southwest of Denver on Hwy 285, The Fort is a true replica of Bent's Fort, (1833-1849), the first American fur trade post in Colorado. The Cheyenne, Arapahoe, Kiowa and Pawnee traded and intermarried at Bent's Old Fort, creating an economic and peaceful exchange of cultures in an otherwise violent West. The Fort building is on the National Registry of Historic Places, and celebrates the many cultures that traded at Bent's Old Fort. This restaurant far exceeded any expectations I had as it was highly recommended to me. The food was absolutely exceptional. The scallops were the best I’ve ever had and the Chilean Seabass was cooked to perfection. It was my birthday and they treated me so well. The ambience was incredible and I was impressed that the noise levels were not too high in the bar and lounge area and great music choice playing. I would definitely return to this restaurant Other perks: Complimentary valet. Easy to drive to. Modern, open vibe.

My wife and I went here to celebrate our 3 anniversary. It was such a wonderful experience, we were greeted by a staff who shows they enjoy and care about their jobs. The food was served quickly and perfectly cooked to order. It is a nice relaxing laid back environment. Would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who likes a restaurant who cooks food out of the norm of others.

The Fireside bar and grill was very festive decorated for Christmas. We were disappointed with the limited menu. Thought there would be more choices, including festive Christmas drinks. Otherwise it was a very relaxing evening.
