Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Lake Bona Vista

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Bonterra and had the loveliest time! Our server was so friendly and remembered us from our visit in September for a birthday celebration, moreover he was very knowledgeable in helping us pick a bottle of wine to pair with the various items we ordered for our meal. I cannot say enough about how delicious the Carbonara was! Overall we had a wonderful experience at Bonterra and will be back.

As per usual, a lovely dinner at River Cafe. Hadn’t been for a while, so brought our guests to enjoy with us. Round of cocktails were great - unique and tasty. Beet and pea agnolotti appies were delicious. Our friends have a garlic sensitivity and the kitchen was amazing about it and made them a special fish dish without garlic. Much appreciated. The artic char and tenderloin entrees were cooked to perfection and very delicious. Our server was great - helpful and attentive. Freezing cold walk over made it that much more cozy inside. Still always cringe at the bill ($420 for 4) but worth it as a treat.

Ruslan was very welcoming and informative. We ordered everything he suggested and were very pleased with everything we tasted. Our faves were the lamb tartar, duck breast and romesco. Absolutely will be back.

We had family come to town and we thought Hayden Block would be a great place to take them as they love barbecue. The ambiance in the back with the fireplace is fantastic. It was great that my 16 year old nephew was able to enjoy the spot as they allow minors until 8:00 pm. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. The brisket was very tender. All of the sides were excellent. If you are a whiskey drinker they have an incredible selection which is half off during happy hour 3:00 - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday.

Valentines’s day was the first time and a while since my wife and planned a dinner or any type of outing in general. With two kids, a three year old and a six month old, free time is a rarity, dare I say a luxury. We mustered our courage and committed to going out in the frigid weather. Seeing the little one is currently breastfeeding, my wife wanted her to stay with us in any of our future outings. After making dinner plans and babysitting with my family for our son, we found ourselves running fashionably late. We proceeded to make our way there nonetheless hoping that there would be some clemency on our behalf. Sure enough, even after arriving an hour late, the two young ladies a the front inquired as to what can be done. The manager for the evening came and moved some things around and managed our expectations saying that we would be moving to a a table which has an appointment in an hour and 15 mins which was greatly appreciated! From the food to the customer service, the standard was to our expectation. The crew on service for the evening ran a tight ship and made the evening look flawless. The manager, what can I say, she had nerves of Steele coordinating such a busy evening. We will definitely come back, this time alone, to fully appreciate such an establishment! Well done to all
