Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Imperial Beach

As usual Il Fornaio doesn’t disappoint! When my husband and I are able to go out for a special dinner we never think twice about going to Il Fornaio. The food, waitstaff and ambiance are top notch every single time.

I’m so impressed with the service. Our server was stellar. We came in to celebrate my mom’s birthday for an afternoon reservation. We had two kids and three adults. We did not order an alcoholic drinks or apps it wasn’t the right time for us. Our server was so professional, kind and hospitable despite this. He treated us with an amazing level of respect. We will absolutely be back and will encourage others to come for their service alone.

For starters our reservation was at 7pm. Got there 5 mints til and we waited til 7:21 to be seated. Next was our waiter. He asked if we were ready to order drinks yet had no drink menu. He either didn’t hear me say we didn’t have one or just thought I said we weren’t ready….but never got a wine/cocktail menu the next table actually gave us theirs. Then he came back with only one menu and still not a drink menu. When it came to ordering we asked for sautéed spinach and we were brought creamed spinach. Waiter checked on us maybe twice.
