Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Hastings / Sunrise

Amazing vibes, feels like you’re in the 1920s. There was live music, a pianist and singer who were great. Our server went above and beyond and was such a delight the whole evening. This is a message to the hotel: give charlotte a raise, she deserves it! Looking forward to our next cocktail and visit

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner 2025. The food and service were excellent. The warm olives (must have if you like olives) and homous were great appetizers and our mains,the vegan calamari dinner and vegan souvlaki dinner, were very good with a bottle of red. Lots of food! The ambiance was nice. We had a cozy table in the back and it was nice and warm in the restaurant on a cold night. The belly dancing was a fun surprise. Our server Spiri (sp?) was excellent. Would recommend.

After having a difficult time navigating the complex Hilton/Crystal parkade, we finally found our way to the hotel lobby, and the restaurant, 20 minutes late. Better signage would be helpful. We enjoyed a lovely 3-course Valentines dinner with generous, tasty portions of food. Service was excellent, and our server, Linh, was very attentive and polite throughout the evening. On a less significant note, we thought the dress code of some of the other staff was a bit inconsistent. We gave a lower score (3) on ambience because the large screen TVs took away from the fine dining experience. Overall it was a very nice evening, however, and we would certainly recommend the restaurant to others. In fact, we have already done so. We'd love to come back, especially for other special occasion menus that we receive email notifications about.

I was treated like a queen!!! I had the most amazing birthday dinner yesterday at JOEY Restaurant Shipyards in North Vancouver! From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely exceptional—attentive, warm, and made me feel truly celebrated! The food was incredible, and the dessert they brought out was beyond delicious. But the real star of the night? The blueberry tea—it was phenomenal! Every sip was pure perfection. I felt like a queen the entire evening, and sharing it with my wonderful mama friends from North Van made it even more special. If you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience with outstanding food, drinks, and service, JOEY Shipyards is the place to go!

Excellent experience. Hostesses went out of their way to help us find a table that worked for our special circumstances. Waiter was very helpful, service was prompt and just the right level of friendliness. Food was very good.
