Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang. The northern menu consists of hearty herbs and spices, along with Thai style stews and coconut-less curries. Through her set menus, our guests can dine and enjoy recipes from over 100 years in the Chutima family.

Here’s another freebie “excellence is not a mistake“ and the Restaurant screams intentionalism from the time you walk in and you’re greeted, to the people that seat you at your table, to the cleanliness of the restaurant, the quality of the food, the time in which it’s delivered , etc, etc, etc!     Incredible dining experience with top notch service and plenty of gluten free options, including handmade daily gluten free pasta. Salad was excellent and they even had a gluten free cheesecake. Highly recommend. It’s a bit pricey but that’s anywhere nice on the strip.

    We dined at the bar and were able to see beautiful cocktails being crafted. Nobu Caesar salad is unique and outstanding! Love the miso cod as well. Enjoyed Javier, John and Juan. Full of info and suggestions.
