Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in River North (Chicago)

Food was excellent. The service was slower than it should have been. Had to ask multiple times for beverage refills. Not disturbing enough to prevent a return trip, but I've come to expect more at Shaw's.

Bar Mar was a great experience for us. Stunning visually. Fun drinks and top notch food. The staff made us including our 4 yr old granddaughter very comfortable.

What a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner! The food was excellent and the service impeccable! Vinnie, our server, was so friendly and gave us great service. Also, every staff member that we passed entering and exiting greeted us! That small detail just enhanced our dining experience.

I had an incredible experience at Three Dots and a Dash the evening of 12/22/2024. We had reservations in the Bamboo Room, which is a quieter, more intimate, rum focused experience. Matt, the bartender that evening, was fabulous; attentive, thoughtful, engaged, and friendly. We ordered a few drinks from the menu then asked Matt to create something special for us and his drinks did not disappoint. My experience with Tiki and rum drinks is decent; having visited almost every Tiki bar from San Diego to San Francisco (including Trader Vic’s at SJC), Tacoma to Seattle, & a Mai Tai tour across Oahu). 3 Dots is a must do, especially if you are a tiki or rum fan. Food was great too. Next time I fly back to Chicago I will definitely visit again.

It was a cool fun place for late night drinks. Not a lot of food options, but the selection of cocktails and other alcoholic beverages was awesome. I like the vibe of the bar. It offered a lot of creative board games and there are a lot of seat choices, which are all very comfortable for hanging out with friends and even on a date. It offers a relaxing atmosphere in the middle of the city hustle. :)
