Il Terrazzo Carmine is located in historic Pioneer Square - nestled in an urban-renewed alley with entrances through the vintage lobby on First Avenue or through the delightful courtyard in the back. Since 1984, Carmine Smeraldo's classic Italian restaurant has been where the locals have chosen to return over and over again. We ordered coffee and were pleasantly surprised to receive French press. To start, we opted for the three-tier appetizer, which featured the most delicious crab cakes I’ve ever tasted, and I’m usually not a fan of crab cakes. The scallops were incredibly tender as well. My husband enjoyed a steelhead entrée accompanied by asparagus and mashed potatoes, while I chose a Caesar salad topped with fresh Dungeness crab. We were both delighted with our dishes and even enjoyed sampling each other’s. This was our second visit, and I have no doubt we’ll return for a third. We dined on Black Friday, expecting a bustling scene with Bellevue Square shoppers, but to our delight, arriving at noon meant we were seated promptly with minimal crowds. They also offer parking validation, which is a nice bonus.

Great place for a beer and a meal. Over 100 great beers on tap, burgers, sandwiches, wings, pizza and a lot more in the menu. Excellent service from the table to the kitchen. Apps were out in less than 10 mins, mains in probably 15-20 mins. Appreciate the speed, service and value. Will definitely visit again.

Very interesting menu, most of it tasted excellent but was a bit pricy. Portions are all the smaller side, great for tapas style eating with a small group. Was a bit on the noisy side.

We went late at night, and it was such a nice time because it wasn’t busy at all. We were seated right away, and our waitress was so sweet—she came over quickly to take our drink orders and brought them back just as fast. My sister was the only one who ordered dinner since the rest of us weren’t super hungry, but she absolutely loved her meal. She ate every last bite, so I know it must’ve been delicious! After dinner, we headed to the arcade, and wow, there were so many fun games to play! The prizes were great too, and I loved how easy it was to load credits onto a money card—no fumbling with tokens or tickets. It’s such a perfect place for families or a group of friends to have a fun, carefree night. I’d definitely recommend it!
