Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in Garment District

We went to Fernando’s Hideaway. I went with my two friends, we were served by Amanda and Jamie. Both of them were great and were attentive to everything we needed. We never missed our drinks and the food was amazing. I would gladly go again and definitely will be.

The food was amazing, the workers were amazing and attentive and (MATTHEW) who severed us on the 25th Dec. for our Christmas dinner was amazing. Very informative and patient with us. A ball of energy. We will definitely be returning.

This is my 2nd time here. I made reservations weeks ahead of time due to the holiday. I was only able to get outside lobby area. Upon arrival I asked if anything was available inside and they had high top bar seating available at their “seafood bar”. I was with my friend and our daughters under twenty one. Since it was freezing they wanted the inside. We had no trouble talking and the view from this spot was nice. Our server Dorji was EXCELLENT. He was very attentive to our needs and made great suggestions on drinks. We decided on the espresso martini and it was perfect. Our arrival was before 6 so the prix fix was available and you definitely get a lot for your money. The salad was okay but the French onion soup was wonderful and really hit the spot on a cold day. Two of us had the coq au vin and that was delicious. My friend had the steak and was happy. My daughter ordered the NY strip off the regular menu. She loved the fries, enjoyed the steak but said the cut was a little tough. We had crème brûlée which was a wonderful way to end the meal. The location of the restaurant is perfect if you are in town for the holidays. The place was decorated beautifully as well.

I come for Eva , Eric and the (Isa)bartender. They are the BEST!!! Time and time again the service, hospitality and friendliness keeps me coming back just for them!

Stopped in for drinks and appetizers. View of Empire State Building is awesome. Band playing a bit to loud for such a small space.
