The service was exemplary although there was no reason for it not to be with so few diners. Did wonder if senior kitchen staff had been given a day off as one hot starter was virtually cold and my parsnips were so undercooked I couldn’t even cut them with a knife and fork, although they were replaced some time later. It was a shame as the setting is lovely and it should have been a better experience.More infoMonkey Island Brasserie & BarPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary British• Bray•4.6

I had the avocado and poached eggs and two pots of decaffeinated tea. Good service (although a little slow when we were ready to leave). Very good food. I love the decor and the ladies toilets were spotless and had really unusual wallpaper. Would definitely visit again.More infoThe Ivy Royal Windsor BrasseriePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Windsor•4.5

Tea was also very good (Darjeeling) and the service was impeccable! We do plan to return soon!More infoLeaf at The Castle HotelPrice: Moderate• British• Windsor•4.3

We chose 1 vegetarian and 1 meat and were treated to a selection of warm savouries such as pakora, chicken, and tasty wraps all nicely spiced but not too hot with a variety of teas. There was a mango lassi a selection of gorgeous cakes, macaroon and even scones to finish! Didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. Highly recommend.More infoAfternoon Tea @ Spice Merchant BeaconsfieldPrice: Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Beaconsfield•3.8
