- SSimonLondon •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had an excellent table by a window as requested with our booking. Three of us had the beef and one the lamb and all agreed it was the tastiest lunch we’ve had for many a month. Staff were very attentive and we had no problem changing the veg dishes over. We didn’t have a desert and if I read correctly the cheese was £22 pounds, which seemed a tad expensive. Overall a very enjoyable Sunday lunch and we will definitely return.More infoFarmer, Butcher, ChefPrice: Expensive• British• Chichester•4.5

The food is always excellent, and it is brilliantly served by friendly staff. This was Sunday lunch which kept up that Cassons always provide. Highly recommended.More infoCassonsPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary British• Chichester•4.8

- JJillBrighton •4 reviews5.0Dined on Mar 2, 2025Having enjoyed such an excellent roast a few weeks ago I booked to go again. This time with two friends who live locally but had not been to the pub before. I was again not dissappointed. The best roast in Sussex in my opinion. Excellent value for money. The ambiance lovely in this old pub. The food was amazing. An abundance of freshly cooked vegetables. Lovely crispy roast potatoes with a fluffy interior. Large portion of meat. The service is excellent. Attentive polite staff. Easy to park in large car park and lovely gardens in which we had a pre lunch drink. I can’t wait to return.More infoThe Fountain at AshurstPrice: Moderate• British• Steyning•4.5
