The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to.     The food and service are exactly what you’d expect from a good Gastro pub, however, it doesn’t do much beyond that. You’d get just as good a meal at a Gastro pub nearby, but here, you’re paying at least £20 more per person for a roast that has a Michelin Star. The experience doesn’t quite justify the inflated price.

    We have been to The Three Horseshoes a few times now and always enjoyed great food, lovely service and a classically smart pub atmosphere, with log fires in winter and a sunny terrace in summer. An understandably shortish menu still manages to blend excellent pub food staples with a handful of more innovative starters and mains. There are also several delicious bar snacks to enjoy while deciding on bigger dishes from the menu. If we lived closer we would undoubtedly make our occasional visits more regular.
