We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. Albert's has a great bar area to enjoy a drink before and after the meal. Jack was our server and he was attentive and helpful. The food is excellent value for money, beautifully served and very tasty.

Our starters were very large overall but could have done with a bit more toast with the pate. Main course was exception more than enough to satisfy the biggest appetite. Only the children had desert but there were clean plates so that too was a hit. Service was a little slow with clearing away empty glasses and bottles but overall very lovely time was had by all

Another great family celebration at Albert's. Lovely having this local gem on the doorstep. Food is consistently good and the service is always friendly. This time around Lottie was a star and even brought the birthday boy an extra mini pudding with a candle, lovely touch. The 2/3 course lunch deal can't be beaten for value.

Excellent good , can really taste the quality and the flavours , would definitely return to try the rest of the menu , tiramisu is worth the hype was stunning light and not too heavy perfect to finish off a meal
