Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). Went for the lunchtime brunch menu. A bit slow on the service side even though it was pretty empty when we first arrived. Waiters were nice and polite and food was fine. They didn't have salmon so two of us had to switch from our eggs Royale order. On my Open Table booking I recorded that it was a birthday meal, but the restaurant didn't mark this in any way.
