- MMichaelVirginia •23 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoFood here is delicious, presentation is attractive, decor is cozy, service is friendly and efficient. The menu seemed a bit underwhelming to me at first with relatively few choices that I thought I would like, but everything I tasted was fantastic, so I got some culinary and gustatory education.More infoRiver and Woods RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Comfort Food• Boulder•4.6

As a photographer the old architecture and classic features appeal to me (not to mention stained glass and a tall beautiful tree). My breakfast was simple: steel cut oats with fruit and cream. The quality of the ingredients and quantity I received was better than what I make at home. The server was very polite and had a good look for the place. He seemed very overwhelmed by how many tables he had. My family felt impatient with him, but considering how many tables he got slammed with he did great. I didn't give him a five, because he was too busy to fill every last demand we made of him. However, he listened well and got everything correct and efficiently. My mother arrived late, but they let us keep our reservation. My brother was disappointed with his waffles and coffee refills (the only things he cares about at a place). I happily ate the rest for him. We are all middle to lowest class, this is sort of a special thing we do once a year. So my mother and I felt uncomfortable with the snootiness of the other guests, but we are both sensitive creatives so maybe they weren't classists like we felt. Overall I was quite happy with it and felt like I was a bit aggressive in getting the waiter's attention.More infoSpruce Farm & FishPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Boulder•4.3
- CCherylDenver / Colorado •4 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoChristmas Eve Dinner 2024. Outstanding! Server Daniel was one of the best I've ever experienced. Friendly, pleasant appropriately attentive. Food-prime rib, sirloin steak plus sides were delicious! Perfectly prepared. Bread and herb dipping brought immediately after sitting down. 2 drinks-Cosmo before dinner and White Russian after dinner-were best I've ever had. Full to top and not at all stingy on alcohol. All staff were more than friendly and accommodating. Pleasantly quiet. Tables not at all packed in. Partner and I in EP celebrating 2nd Christmas together. Choosing Twin Owls Steakhouse for Christmas Eve dinner was an excellent choice. Scale 1-10, definitely a 12. We'll definitely be back.More infoTwin Owls SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Continental• Estes Park•4.4
