Best Restaurants for Groups in Downtown Charleston

The food was great and our server was very pleasant. Unfortunately the first impression was a bit tarnished by the unfriendly hostess. No warm greeting, given a wobbly table up against a wall and was the only table the candle wasn’t lit. When I mentioned the table was wobbly, I didn’t get much of a response. The manager did come fix it. Just little details that could make the place a better expierence.

Virginia’s was delicious! Everything was so tasty and the service was just lovely. So polite and attentive without being overwhelming.

We were so glad we made a reservation for Christmas lunch buffet at the Francis Marion in the ballroom. The variety of food, the presentation, the service level were all top notch. We enjoyed the festive decor as well. We hope to return for Christmas lunch buffet this year. Great experience overall.

Loved our Christmas Eve dinner this year. The food and drinks are always great and our server, Alexis was amazing! Order a drink from Alexa at the bar and you won’t regret it. And Steph always does a fanatic job making sure everyone is taken care of. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend!!

Had 4 fabulous meals , one daughter has celiac and waiter was able to help us navigate safe choices with the menu and propose alternatives and personally went to talk to the chef . I got the crab stuffed flounder and it could have fed 2 people. Love the alley and all of the holy City restaurants but coast is our fav! Highly recommend, def worth it !!!
