You'll find us nestled snugly right on Seatown Beach, hidden along one of the many coves that litter Dorset's famous Jurassic coastline. Once a smugglers haunt, the pub now serves a seasonal menu with a focus on seafood and fresh local produce. Complete with wood fires and Palmers award winning ales, the pub is the perfect location to refuel after a day on the coastal path or for a special evening meal with friends or family.

Holm is inspired by nature and our surroundings in the beautiful South West of England. We are driven by provenance, sustainability and warm hospitality. Our aim is to serve delicious food and drinks in a casual yet refined environment. The food at Holm will be driven by the seasons, the environment and our locality in the beautiful Somerset countryside. We work with local farmers, growers, butchers, gamekeepers, fishermen and anyone who shares our love of exceptional ingredients, treated with care and respect. Our wine list is focused, well-chosen and sensibly priced with low intervention, organic and biodynamic wines from small artisanal producers.

AA Accredited - COVID-19 ConfidentWe are not a ‘fancy pants’ establishment. Not in the least. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019. We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

We get excited when it comes to food. Head Chef Joe, and his team, source only the finest local ingredients. Bringing together gastropub classics and a traditional open fireplace – our bistro-bar is the perfect recipe for a satisfying supper. Or join us in our restaurant. Overlooking the beautiful garden, it’s the ideal place for that special occasion. Our mouth-watering seasonal menus are complimented by a stunning selection of wines. In summer, why not head outdoors for dinner. Sample a bubbling, stone-baked pizza, fresh from our authentic wood fired oven. It’s the kind of food that makes warm evenings magical. Especially served with a locally brewed, ice cold cider. We cater for all, so let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements. If you love food like we do, book now or give us a call.

Firstly, The Anchor Inn is one of my favourite places in the world. I've been returning here for the passed 30 years! This review may sound a little picky that's because it is. These are the only things I can think of that are hopefully constructive. Everything else was super. Just two things that I would like to mention. The music, whilst generally good, it was very repetitive. Same genre and I think the same playlist over the 4 days we visited and perhaps a little too loud. (God, I sound old). I love music and it's great for ambience as background music, but I wasn't there to listen to it, I was there to spend time catching up with friends. Also, the veggie options. The aubergine and hummus baguette. In my opinion, was very bland. It sounded delicious but I was very disappointed. The baguette could've been cooked a little more (very cold and doughy) and perhaps a bit of spice and texture added to the filling. The rest of the food we had over the 4 days was fantastic!

Breaking the journey to London, Holm is great. Easy parking on-street adjacent to the restaurant. Dog friendly too. Deliciously fresh trout tartare then a pappardelle with a perfectly Italian ragu enriched with chicken livers made an ideal mid-week lunch. (Even a table-side water bowl for the dog). Service was fast and we were on the way again in just over an hour.
