This is Butcher & Banker, a new "steakeasy" at the crossroads of Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, Javits Center and Hudson Yards.Butcher & Banker is no ordinary steakhouse. A dozen different steaks are on offer, but non-steak eaters will dine exceedingly well here.Butcher & Banker pays homage to the New Yorker Hotel’s storied history. It has attracted a who’s who of entertainers and dignitaries from around the world, including Muhammad Ali, JFK, Joan Crawford and Nikola Tesla. Beneath the hotel, a bank vault and offices were occupied by the Manufacturers Trust Company until 1980. My partner and I had an amazing time with beyond exceptional service from our server Chris(The gentleman with glasses and long hair). He provided all of our needs and catered to my girlfriend’s allergies, explained the items in the menu, then provided the best espresso martini in the city as he stated hahah!! This was our 2nd time at ilili and the service was top tier twice in a row. Kudos to the front door staff, waiters, bartenders and chefs. You all are doing great work. And another shoutout to Chris, thanks for the dessert brother, we truly appreciated it all!! 15/10 ✨ Best, Anthony Rivera

We loved Monterey! It’s a lovely restaurant conveniently located near lots of Midtown attractions. The food and beverage presentations were impressive. We had the prime rib special and everything was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. For dessert, the Bananas Foster was prepared table side. The presentation and taste were amazing. We can’t wait to return.
