JOI Asian Bistro, located at Domain NORTHSIDE, is the newest concept from Alberto Lombardi and his family run restaurant group, Lombardi Family Concepts. Through our menu, consisting of approachable dishes like ramen and chicken katsu and a diverse sushi selection with fish from around the world, our guests are encouraged to embrace the customary Asian approach of shared dishes. Also, our elegant yet approachable cocktail program combines the flavors of Southeastern Asian cuisine, with a touch of tiki. These cocktails are "Must Tries"!! Highlights include the Southern Fun (stir fried wide rice noodles with brisket, kale, onions and herbs), Dan Dan Noodles and the Malaysian Laksa bowl. Great service and fantastic food. We were seated on time and the Chef’s Choice sashimi, sushi rolls, and flaming salmon didn’t disappoint. The sous vide pork ribs were a bit too salty and fatty, but the texture was good. We were impressed that the servers knew every item and all ingredients, even the 10 piece nigiri. Kudos to the staff and manager. Food was a bit slow to come out but perhaps due to the full house for the Valentine’s and Presidents Day weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

We had not been back to Red Ash since before the Pandemic. Shame on us! Now we certainly will make a new reservation as soon as possible, which will probably be a few months from now. Red Ash is so popular that it is that difficult to get a table. But the wait is certainly worth it. This evening we tried the Octopus a la Plancha at our server, Emma's suggestion. Octopus for our first time. It was wonderfully delicious and tender. For dinner we split Frutti di Mare, a wonderful selection of seafood laid on a bed of the best black and white sphagettini. Cooked perfectly! Emma was the perfect hostess and we were able to reconnect with Brand Favata, our favorite server from six years ago. It seems that very few few employees leave Red Ash. It is such a wonderful restaurant!! We'll be back very soon.

Food was pretty good. The service was pretty slow. Food came out quick just hard to get servers attention. All good though!
