Best Date Night Restaurants in Balham

We had a lovely lunch at Joia! The servers took very well care of us, and were always kind and joyful which made the experience all the better. We chose the Octopus salad as an entrée; the Bacalhau à Brás for our mains, and finally both the Chocolate orange mousse and Spiced pineapple for dessert. Everything was delightful and tasty. As a Portuguese person living in London, it was great to see some of our very traditional dishes levelled up, though they all remained very soulful and delicious as per Portuguese cuisine. Though it was gloomy outside, the view was incredible. The rooftop was unfortunately closed, and we were told it'll be open from April for the summer months, so another reason to come back. Muito obrigado for the experience, we will definitely be back!

Wonderful and pleasant helpful service,a welcoming and helping service ,staff who swerved and greeted us were kind and considerate .Fish so soft and worth the value ,chips perfectly sized and seasoned ,very tender food and I like the treat of sheets in the end

Tasty food at a good price, friendly waiters and comfortable ambience.

Everything was great, the tuna, sibas, praws! Amazing dips and bread, but Greek salad was floating in so much oil. Also, my favourite umbrella from my dad was stolen from that restaurant... :( but i would come back for food again for sure!

A great place to go with a group of friends, we had such a lovely evening. Delicious food, very attentive service from Agatha and an amazing wine selection. Thank you so much, we will be back!
