Best Date Night Restaurants in Broad Hinton

This is not the place to go if you are looking for low cost, however the quality is well worth the price charged. staff are friendly and ambience is always nice. We don’t eat there often but it is always a welcome treat when we do, leaving the door feeling happy having had an enjoyable experience.

Booked few weeks in advance. We called on the day to say we may be a little late as stuck in traffic, they were happy to hold the table. Nice, clean pub. Perfect temperature, we were shown to our table, my husband asked for another table as it was near a window and the lighting better, they were happy to accommodate. We ordered drinks first, which arrived quickly. We ordered several tapas dishes which were all very tasty. The only problem we had was one of the dishes was incorrect, when we mentioned it they apologised for the mistake and returned with the correct ordered dish. The smoking area was perfect with a real log fire, wish we lived locally as we would use this establishment every week, overall a great dining experience.

We ordered the bravas potatoes, olives, and jamon iberico which were all solid. The star of the show was the carabinero prawns paella which is the chef's specialty. I highly recommend pre-ordering this dish when making your booking.

We were dining to celebrate my son’s 21st so we were a table of four; the general arrangement perhaps suits couples better than it does larger groups but the staff were terrific, friendly and helpful. The establishment is quirky, an absolute delight although perhaps not best suited to the infirm as the toilets were a slight trek (but again beautifully quirky). The menu changes frequently and the staff were keen to explain any queries that we had. The general arrangement was that food was brought with the intention of sharing, bigger servings than tapas style but the principle was similar. It’s been a week since we were there and I’m still not sure what course was my favourite:- the food is absolutely top quality and clearly served with love, care and attention. Loved it utterly and will definitely be back.
