Best Restaurants for Business Meals in London

My wife and I went for a Valentine’s dinner. We enjoyed the environment and the food was excellent, as each of us had the top sirloin steak. The beet salad was an arugula salad with yellow beets and goat cheese, which was excellent however I was expecting beets, not a leafy salad. The atmosphere was warm, yet several times it went from loud to oddly everyone getting quiet at the same time. This occurred during song changes in the music. Perhaps a mix in the music wouldn’t leave awkward quiet moments. The bench seating was comfortable but too close to the couple beside us as when they arrived, they listened to our conversation and we couldn’t help but hear theirs too. The cheesecake for dessert was memorable as we rarely splurge on dessert. Overall it was an enjoyable evening together.

We are regulars. We attended with new recruits. They loved it too. We ordered our reg. tuna tartare app in addition to Valentine’s special. We didn’t realize what was advertised as the “Steak n Sushi” was actually “Steak n more Tuna tartare”!🤷🏿‍♀️ Even for sharing that was too much tuna tartare!

We both said that our Garlic's dinner was one of the best dinners out that we've had in a very long time and we go out often!!!! The food was amazing, everything came out as it should at the perfect time & temp., and our waitress Sabriba was a dream, 5 stars for her for sure! We started with this delicious bottle of Pinot Noir from California called Schug which paired nicely with our starter & dinners! "Apple Cider Mussels" with local Apple Cider and white wine broth, fresh cut Crunican Orchards’ honeycrisp apples, lardons and shaved fennel" ...so delicious 😋 When that was done, she brought us a Garlic’s Caesar Salad c/w Roasted garlic dressing, Metzger’s bacon, Grana Padano, croutons & lemon...it was so good! For our entrees, I had the Hot Smoked Garlic Fettuccine c/w Chicken breast, smoked garlic, spicy chili oil, roasted red pepper, sweet corn, baby spinach, Grana Padano And my valentine had the Cermaq Salmonc/w Garlic and honey glazed salmon fillet, etc... Both entrees were delicious!!!! So friggin yummy 😋

We both had the set menu Valentine's special. Every course was exceptional other than my husband's oyster Appy the oysters were very small. My crab cake was the best I have ever had. Our mains..steak, potatoes and veggie were cooked perfectly..rare as requested. The desert..sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and berries was just the right size to end a substantial meal. It was delicious as well. Service was very good. No complaints. Fairly expensive but worth every dollar!

We had a wonderful dining experience. Our server Allie made our evening enjoyable and she explained the dishes that we were ordering which helped us to decide. Allie was very professional and personable and we did not feel rushed as our appetizer, meal and dessert were brought to us with plenty of time to enjoy them. It is a nice quiet dining experience and the food was just amazing. We will be back again.
