Fornos is a go-to in Newark for a nice occasion. The staff is always friendly and professional, the atmosphere is wonderful - elegant but not stuffy/pretentious, and the food is exceptional. The selections are a challenge - in that there are too many good options; the flavor is wonderful, and you're usually taking some home, as the portions are generous. Then there are sides that come with the meal, along with the salad - plentiful. It's always a wonderful experience.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! I would travel back to Newark just to go! Decor was awesome. Place was big but so well designed. Food was incredible. Every bite of everything we ate was tasty. The staff couldn’t have been any better. We had 2 littles and they were SO kind to them. And engaging. Note they have very limited children’s menu options BUT our kiddos shared a skirt steak and loved it! They ate the entire thing! Can’t say enough good!

We tried about 7 tapas and each was equally delicious from the lamb chops to the short rib meatball to the chicharron de pollo. The drinks were delicious and not shy on the alcohol. Our service was amazing. We will be returning.

I have been to Sol mar on several occasions and have NEVER, EVER been dissapointed. The food is second to none and is plentiful. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I am a seventy five year old man and have been to thousans and thousands of restaurants in my lift in many states and countries. Sol Mar does a wonderful job.
