Best Restaurants for Birthdays in The Colony

We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary with our kids. Food was amazing as well as the service from Bradley. He was very attentive and so kind. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful experience at Trulucks! We were slightly disappointed due to the 20 minute wait when we arrived, especially since we had a reservation but the staff did an amazing job to make us feel welcomed. Once seated we had an envelope on our table congratulating us on our anniversary! Every person that came by our table that night congratulated us, and we appreciated the gesture. The food was amazing. We started with the calamari appetizer which was sweet and spicy and the sauce was *chef’s kiss*. My husband then went for the lobster bisque and I had the Sonoma greens salad, again both selections were great. We opted for the petite versions Redfish (me) and Seared shrimp/scallops (husband) and we were happy with the size. I preferred the scallops and shrimp plate but again both were delicious. After our meal we were surprised with a Baked Alaska that said Happy Anniversary. Wonderful surprise! We finished the night with a couple of delicious cappuccinos that come with a tasty cookie! The one downer to the restaurant is that it is definitely loud due to the layout, BUT this did not take away from our experience.

We loved T-bone. He was so nice and we don’t like to eat certain food ingredients and he went and checked for every ingredient. He had no attitude, no side eye, with complete understanding. He was very quick with food, drinks, giving us time and space to enjoy each course no rush, such a great attitude and demeanor. I LOVED my filet, my husband didn’t think his ribeye was as good so we do not suggest that. We had a perfect date night overall!

This was our first time visiting and it did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in, the host (the manager, I think) recognized one of our party was autistic and discretely assured me any accommodations we needed would be met. We were even seated in a quieter part of the restaurant. Jeremy, our server, was very knowledgeable on the menu and gave us great recommendations. We ordered appetizers, steaks, lamb, and seafood, and everything was delicious and fresh from the kitchen! The risotto was perfect, and the creme brulee was probably among the best we've ever had. We are all still talking about our experience today. The Capital Grille has definitely made our list of "visit again" restaurants. We highly recommend, especially for a special occasion!

Our waitress was a bar tender and while she would sometimes take a while to make her way back over to us, the service was incredible. I didn’t catch her name, but she recommended us some fantastic wine. The spaghetti alla carbonara is what me and my partner both ordered and it came out very quickly and was prepared wonderfully. Will 100% be returning in the near future.
