Best Restaurants for Birthdays in River Oaks

We visit many restaurants around the country and Annabelle has suddenly made it to my hometown favorites list. We tried the deviled eggs, raclette au jambon, Parisienne steak frites, duck confit cassoulet, macaroni gratin, and potato aligoté, finished with crème brûlée and espresso. All of which met our standards and we will be returning. Happy and full the spot brings warmth, feeling like I’m in my grandmothers living room (in a good - homey way). Drinks also were good but don’t remember what was ordered. If you are coming here, order a lot very freely; the pricing is very reasonable anyway.

We went here for Christmas dinner and this place did not disappoint!! Beautiful restaurant w special details everywhere down to the cutlery, glasses and beautiful cocktails along w food presentation. Our server was very professional, efficient and friendly, especially being it was a holiday. I cannot remember her name but she made our experience that much better! Only complaint was we arrived at 5pm and were told cocktails and wine was half off, which we found generous. However when our check arrived, my dirty martini was not half off and quite pricey, nor was my red wine. When my husband mentioned the fact, server said ordered after HH ended, but not the case! We got our check at 7:11 and I ordered my martini upon arrival and my wine around 6:20. So something went wrong w the drink prices but my husband’s both drinks were HH prices. We will definitely return!

The genius lies in how the story unfolds, starting with a specific region and its historical cuisine, then elevating those ingredients to new heights. Each course arrives like a work of art, beautifully plated and bursting with intricate flavors that evolve with every bite. The wine pairing is just as carefully curated, with each selection enhancing the dishes in a way that elevates the entire experience. Every detail, from the presentation to the final note of dessert, is handled with precision and care. I love this place and look forward to coming back next season.

Ton and Trey were excellent servers and were very warm and welcoming. They took excellent care of us and even had their manager, Todd, help us with an extra question we had. We really appreciated Todd taking the time to talk to us! Probably one of the best times we have been to Graces!

The place is very chic - its very Gen Z / Mil-lineal but of course we are on our late 40’s already. Ambience and service is five star definitely. But food is mediocre. We all thought the chicken taste like a cut from a rotisserie chicken. But if you just want to enjoy company in a nice place,this is definitely a place
