Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Poway / Rancho Bernardo

What an amazing Christmas dinner at Vintana Wine and Dine. The hostess was welcoming upon arrival and accommodated my request for a window table. The ambiance was inviting, pleasant and full of Christmas cheer. Savanah came by our table and introduced herself and provided water while wishing us a Merry Christmas. Next we had Chase our phenomenal server who was kind, personable and provided top shelf customer service. We started with two tequilla drinks crafted with lime, pelligrino and mint. The drinks were fabulous. Joshua brought out some sourdough bread and also stopped by through the experience providing excellent service. Our first course arrived with my wife having the beet salad which was exquisite and I had the beyond kabobs which were simply fantastic. After the first course our main entrees arrived and wow the preparation and presentation were stellar. Joshua brought both dishes out and they were beyond amazing. My wife had the Chilean seabass entree and I had the short rib entree. Top Shelf and extremely tasty. The food was so good and epic. What a Christmas blessing. Emma brought out our dessert and she was fantastic as well. My wife had the Tiramasu and I had the pecan cheesecake. Both were beyibd words yummy. Chase also brought out a nice hot cup of coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and meal experience at Vintana Wine & Dine and highly recommend this fine dining establishment.

South of Nick’s for Christmas Eve was excellent as it usually is throughout the year. Food was delicious, and service was outstanding from start to finish. It is one of San Diego’s finest Mexican restaurants!

We have been to Carvers many times. Outstanding service and food. Prices a little heavy on certain items but not a deal breaker. The restaurant has a great ambiance...not too big and not too small. Very comfortable decor and surroundings. One complaint this time around. I had a beautiful looking Peppercorn topped NY Steak but it had major area of tough chewing. I didn't complain because what I DID eat, was very tasty and tender. Plus, it was Christmas Eve and I didn't want to bring up any negatives. We'll definitely be back...but I just won't have the steak. Sometimes there are stumbling blocks to complete satisfaction. They have other superior items on the menu from A to Z. Until next time.... Great place to enjoy exceptional food and service.

Have always loved Rosina's and it has only gotten better over the years. We really like the furnishing in the new room across the patio. With the original room, the patio and the new room Rosina's has really gone to a new level. In the old days we enjoyed Rosina walking around and talking to people but last night the place was so busy that she only had time to say hi. But that's okay...shows how popular it is. We also like the small personal touches. The hostess told my wife how she really liked her new hairstyle. Not only was that nice and thoughtful, it showed and warm and personal touch. And finally the food never disappoints. Don't worry about trying to choose the best thing on the menu. It is all great!!!
