Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Maspeth

There were 10 of us & we had made reservations at 5 pm as we had 7 pm theater tickets. Our table was ready for us upon arrival & our waiter was friendly & on point from start to finish. Service was great without feeling rushed & his wine suggestion was perfect. The portions are huge so we started with the calamari & Caesar salad which was plenty for all of us & both very good. We chose 4 dishes, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Scaloppine, Rigatoni & Broccoli, & Penne alla Vodka & all were delicious. We all commnted that the Penne was the best we’d had as the sauce was not too heavy & perfectly spiced. Although we could have only ordered 3 dishes, we all enjoyed the variety of the 4 choices. We finished off with cappuccinos for the table & made it to the theater with 15 minutes to spare. We couldn’t have picked a better restaurant & the bonus was it was very reasonable. It was wonderful and richly experienced! It was so good last night we came back today for lunch!! In addition to the awesome food we met a most beautiful waitress and knowledgeable to the Tee …Margo!! She’s a testament to the highly respected and legacy of Tavern on the Green❤️The other waiters and especially the manager last night was truly awesome!! Thank you for another memorable trip to Tavern on the Green! Looking forward to next time!😍

The service was absolutely phenomenal, yet again! Perfect for the Holidays! The Hostesses were friendly and welcoming - they read my notes which I appreciated. Our server was the cherry on top, knowing exactly what drink I wanted without any explanation—most places, I have to describe what a Kerryoael is, but he nailed it right away. Loved that little detail. Plus, getting extra salted nuts was a fun little bonus! I’ll definitely be back again!

Beautiful place to indulge in formal afternoon tea. Wonderful experience for a young girl since they can get the Eloise tea. Very expensive but worth it as a special treat during the xmas holiday

Good and service were excellent. Expensive and portions not very large but because the food is really worth it!
