Steak 48 in Chicago made our 15th anniversary an unforgettable evening! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, elegant, and inviting. Allie and her incredible staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our experience was absolutely perfect. The meal was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the stone crab, which was incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. For our mains, we enjoyed the 45-day dry-aged ribeye and the filet—both cooked to perfection with a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that showcased their exceptional quality. The king crab legs were a luxurious treat, and the side dishes were just as impressive. The au gratin potatoes were rich and creamy, the creamed corn was perfectly balanced, and every bite was bursting with flavor. We finished with the key lime pie that was the perfect ending to a flawless meal—refreshing, tangy, and just sweet enough. Steak 48 is a true gem in Chicago's dining scene. What a perfect place to go for date night after seeing the Nutcracker on a winter afternoon. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We stuck with a light dinner, so strayed away from the apps and dessert. We ordered the rigatoni vodka pasta with the prosciutto sausage (yum) and the gnocchi. Both of us loved our meals and I'm enjoying the leftovers now! The portion sizes were great and it was a good $$$ value with quality ingredients and obviously fresh pasta. If we were hungrier, we would have ordered a few apps - like their burrata, arancini, or the waygu beef meat balls. Their salad offering was also great - the Siena Chopped caught my eye. It was also awesome to see pizzas being fired up in the oven across from where we were seated. We ordered a white wine and standard dirty martini. The tini was not my favorite- i think next time I'd get their speciality dirty martini. They didn't skimp on the alcohol which I can appreciate, but the blue cheese stuffed olives were lacking and squeaky and it wasn't a smooth taste. Our server was great, he was timely, kind and was right with his recommendations! We went at 4:30 and the atmosphere was inviting. It was very quiet and peaceful. The only bad part was that MJ himself was not there tonight. But everything here was amazing. The Jump man martini was great, and the fillet mignon was cooked to perfection (medium rare). Try the mashed potato’s, you get to try 3 different kinds. And the staff was friendly and attentive. Over all, great experience.

Steakhouses in Chicago are a dime a dozen which makes it hard to choose one over the other. Mastro’s has never disappointed. They check all the boxes and do so to be among the top 5 in my book. Thanks to the crew there for helping my family get out the door quickly for a play last night!

Our Christmas Eve dinner was perfect. The food was A+, the ambiance was festive (great playlist!) and our service was impeccable. Anna our server was the perfect combination of engaging and giving us our privacy. She very much made our night more memorable with her kindness, humor and relatability. The steaks were fabulous! We have been to Joe’s, Fioretta, and Bavette’s recently. This was our first time at RPM Streak and I would say that they are the superior choice.
