Servers at the restaurant were great. So were the hostesses inside. Food and tea were delicious as always. The gal checking reservations at the entrance to the hotel to admit guests inside could use a refresher in customer service. How about welcome guests warmly with a smile? Say hello or good morning? Make eye contact? Literally anything other than the cold front she put on. Maybe she hates her job? For paying $500+ for tea time lunch you shouldn’t act like we’re inconveniencing you. She also didn’t offer the lift for my stroller and just watched us struggle carrying it up the stairs and no one grabbed the door to help. They stand on the stairs looking down on people trying to come inside like they’re better than everyone else. That part is odd.

A special place for a beautiful time. If you want to indulge yourself with elegance, this is where you should go. Pricey, for sure, but every now and then you just have to.

Our server Kelly was the best! Friendly and attentive without being overly being so. She went above and beyond when they comped a dessert AND added a free one because it came out late. The ambiance was great. Food was good but the overall experience was capped by her welcome attention to detail and genuine friendliness. Thanks and will definitely be back in the future here! I spoke with the manager, who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great experience. LOVE! One of the best meals I have had in NYC ever. They took great attention to detail in the service and the food. I have a nut allergy and I was happy to hear that they had a system in place to eliminate cross contamination and I felt safe eating. Plus everything we ate was delicious.
