Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Lake Zurich

We had the best dinner experience tonight at the Cooper’s Hawk , Kildeer Illinois . Our server, Shannon was great very friendly polite gave us excellent service. We talked to the manager, Jennifer who came to our table and complimented at how great our service was. Jennifer was so friendly and personable. She added to the experience.

We had Christmas lunch here, so it was pretty quiet and the staff weren’t so busy. With that in mind, service was friendly, prompt and attentive. The food was excellent: pot stickers for starters, then mutton stir fry, beef fried rice and Singapore noodles. Mutton is unusual in Chicagoland but it was surprisingly good. PL8 is now in our top 2 Chinese restaurants in the NW burns.

The food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. The Christmas decor was festive. We had a great meal on Christmas Eve. We each had a sale to start with; my husband had the table side Caesar and I had a house salad. Both were fresh and delicious. For our mai meals, my husband had the cedar plank salmon. It was cooked exactly as he asked and the flavors were great. I had the miso glazed sea bass with black rice. The blend of flavors was tasty and delicious. For dessert, the Sticky toffee pudding is a must and it did not disappoint. Our server was Kevin. He was knowledgeable of the menu and very pleasant and attentive. We have dined at Region before and it was extremely special to be recognized by servers that have waited on us in the past. For a great meal with attentive service and comfortable surroundings, Region is a must.

We came here for Christmas Eve and were seated promptly. Our waitress, Lauren, was very good. The food came out at reasonable times until dessert - we waited 45 minutes! Lauren apologized and said it was due to a backup in the kitchen . What I do not understand is that the menu was preset and the desserts should have been plated well in advance. When we left, we heard people complaining that they had reservations and were waiting for over 30 minutes past their reservation time. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food, but the service could have been better. We will definitely come back! I am sure with it being Christmas Eve, the kitchen was backlogged. Hopefully, they get things figured out for next year!
