Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Kildeer

Yesterday I wrote a negative review about an experience at Perry's in Oakbrook, but today it's a glowing positive review about the Vernon Hills location, where we dined last night with friends. This might be the first time I've ever gone to the same restaurant (but two different locations) on back to back nights, and it is amazing how the dinners were so different. The Vernon Hills location was busy upon our arrival, and totally packed by the time we left. The ambience and service were far superior to the Oakbrook experience. I had the pork chop and it was beyond amazing...way more than I could eat in one serving, and even though I shared it with others at the table, I still had a full meal left to take home. Our server was spectacular, helpful and knowledgable, personable, and had the knack for being there when we wanted/needed him, but other than that he was off working with other tables. I Considering all the positive reviews I've heard about Perry's, I'd be willing to chalk up the poor experience in Oakbrook as possibly just an off night during the Christmas rush season, but the Vernon Hills manager deserves a gold star for excellence, because the place was absolutely packed and the service team was well choreographed. My only complaint about the Vernon Hills location is the tiny parking lot...nowhere near big enough (aren't there zoning requirements for parking?). We had to park across the street on top of a large hill, and when the weather turned (as it inevitably will), it's going to be dangerous to make the trek from the parking lot.

Such a nice experience! We have been going to Wildfire Lincolnshire every December as a family group of 6 for several years now. Last night was the best. We did have a rocky start. My dad is hearing impaired and we were seated in the main dining room. It was SO loud and it made any conversation difficult - even without an impairment. It was really busy because of the holidays. I spoke with the manager. Tim. He could not have been more gracious and found us another table in a side room which helped us a lot! We had six entrees and they were all perfect! A couple steaks, one burger, one crab cakes and a salmon. Everybody was thrilled with their meal. Our server was Rose and she was awesome! Thank you!

Service great. She was responsive but knew we were just catching up so didn’t overwhelm us. Food. Halibut was soooo good. Ambiance was beautiful. Enzo’s always does a nice job at Christmas, very festive.

We made an early reservation to enjoy a quieter dinner. The server was wonderful and the food was good as always. I was a little confused with my wedge salad as it had an oil and vinegar dressing on it in addition to the sparing blue cheese dressing. Either way it was delicious.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. A friend and I had an enjoyable afternoon.!
