Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Northshore

We had another great experience at Benihana. We enjoy dining there regularly. Benihana has excellent food and the Teppan style cooking is a fun dining experience.

Johnathan is an outstanding server. I requested a hot toddy and he made it happen. The octopus is always my favorite. French onion soup was so delicious. Expect a giant burger no matter which one you order. I went for lunch with a friend, we had a great time. Valet service is available. The atmosphere is top notch with the service and flavors to match. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. I love this restaurant lunch or dinner.

I came for my birthday and it exceeded my expectations! I did come for the snapper but it was not available because they get their fish fresh from a fishermen, which I love. So I tried the Sea Bass and it was exceptional!!! I cleaned my plate. We also tried the shrimp, etoufee, beef sliders, calamari and ribs. Everything was a 10 out of 10z the servants were all exceptional and the manager stop at our table and checked in on us as well! We came early around 630pm so we were able to sit a little longer than expected but when the next party has arrived and you are past the time limit they politely reminded us and helped us. It was a great experience and will be back.

The food here is AMAZING! Everything was full of flavor and the portions were large. I was looking for a soul food spot and came across Kulture. The area is prime real estate and the ambiance was well put together. We ordered the gumbo and collared greens for appetizers. We ordered a large gumbo assuming this would be a small bowl like most restaurants do it but I was surprised. It came in a very large bowl that was enough to feed 4 people as an appetizer and 2 people for 2 full meals. Not only was the portion great but it tasted amazing! Not like any gumbo roo I’ve had before. The collard greens came out as boudin balls which were fried with a sauce on the side, we expected regular greens in a bowl but these were an amazing take on greens. It was crunchy on the outside , nice , soft and juicy inside.. the sauce provided wasn’t needed but 100% elevated the dish. The price point for both seems pricey but the food is portioned really well so it’s worth it. For the entrees we had the fried fish and grits with crab and lobster on top & the lambchops. The fried fish had to be our favorite dish, it was enough for 2 to share and the flavors were all there. The gravy on top was perfect and the crab added a well thought out sweetness element to the dish. The lambchops were also amazing with the chimchurri they provided.. even though the dish was good, we felt like everything else we had out performed the lambchops. This was one of the best soul food restaurants I’ve ever been too and I hope everyone can share the same experience. 10/10

We were a party of 8 and everything went smoothly, Juanita was great. She answered all our questions, since it was our first time there. Food was excellent and delicious. Ambience was great.
