Beautiful quiet evening with excellent service and wonderful food

We had an incredible birthday dinner. We’ve been coming for 13 years and the food is always great, but was especially delicious tonight. The servers were friendly and attentive. The skewers are so tender and well seasoned. It’s a great spot to celebrate a special occasion or really any night.

Had a fantastic night out with friends at Rustic House Oyster Bar & Grill in San Carlos! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. We were impressed by how perfectly timed everything was, with all our dishes arriving together. Highly recommend this spot for a great dining experience!

Overall, excellent. Just a couple comments: First, the appetizers came out very quickly (a good thing TM) but they beat our initial drinks (wine and beer) by a good 10 minutes. Second, I ordered the filet mignon "medium" because I had been at a Las Vegas steakhouse recently where "medium rare" was barely warm meat. But here the steak came out cooked truly medium and on a very hot plate. So if you like medium rare, you can trust them to do it right, I think. No complaints about how they cooked my steak; just saying I was too conservative in how I ordered it. All food was excellent; service very attentive. It's a louder place but by the end, it had emptied out and quieted down. We were there 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on a Thursday. If it wasn't quite so expensive, we'd go more often.
