Best Restaurants with Private Rooms in Lakewood Ranch

Ocean Prime has wonderful food and service. Rebecca was awesome! It was our anniversary and we were greeted with a glass of complimentary champagne when we entered. We sat in the outside section that is covered and has screens, ceiling fans and heaters for all types of weather. I’m not sure how warm it would be on a warm summer evening, but it was perfect last night. The noise level where we were seated was fine, but as we left we noticed the noise inside was quite loud. There were alot of people at the bar which probably contributed to that. As a senior, I’m not sure sitting inside would be pleasant for those that may have difficulty hearing. Our view was good but they are beginning to construct a large condo building right next door to the restaurant. So I have concerns about the view while they continue to build and am unsure what it will look like when the construction is complete. And while everything was almost perfect, the price is also out of this world. For 2 people to have a couple of drinks, one appetizer, 2 mains with sides and 2 desserts, and parking, the price was almost $500 before tip. All that said, it was a wonderful anniversary dinner. Food was absolutely delicious!! I had the Chicken Milanese and loved it- topped off with a decadent key lime pie!

Excellent restaurant despite high noise level (prefer outside dining option). Scallop dish is outstanding. Lamb sliders are delicious. Fries are wonderful. And the service is friendly and attentive. Not our first visit and we will be back.

Eating at Michael’s is a special treat when visiting Sarasota. This time we chose three dishes: the charcuterie board, sea bass, and chopped salad. The charcuterie board was outstanding, and the sea bass with risotto was excellent. To my taste, the chopped salad was not as good. It was overdressed with a somewhat sweet dressing, reminiscent of Russian dressing.

Lunch at Sophie's takes me back to the 60's at Hudson's at Eastland Mall with my Grandmother, Mother, and siblings; 70's and 80's at Oakland Mall in Madison Heights with my girlfriends; and the 2010's with my Dad at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, MI! It waa so wonderful to shop and then have a leisurely lunch! Highly recommend Sophie's to recapture those memories with an updated menu and excellent service! (Wish Sophie's was open later for at least Happy Hour!)
