- KKathrynVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •11 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoThe food was delicious and eating outside across from Lake Merritt is a pleasure! The avocado toast (with a generous serving of green salad) was beautifully prepared, as was the pastrami benedict that my partner ate (unlike many we've had, it was not drowned in hollandaise sauce but simply topped with it). My only reservation was about the eggs on the avo toast. I asked the server to make sure the yolks were "not runny." She wrote down and repeated the instruction. But when they arrived, they were totally runny. She offered to get me a scrambled egg instead - which arrived perfectly prepared. But then I was charged for it. I think if the kitchen makes an error they need to make good on it, without additional charge. Other than that, it was a wonderful meal.More infoGrand Lake Kitchen - Lake MerrittPrice: Moderate• American• Oakland•4.7

The French toast was delicious, the grilled cheese bacon sandwich was great and the way rancheros was very good. Great service and good coffee! We’ll go back!More infoAlley & VinePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Alameda•4.4

- AAdrianaNew York City •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024Went for Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes and did the full wine pairing— a splurge after a busy & draining day/week/year. The space was welcoming and festive, the wine pairings were interesting and thoughtful and the hospitality and service were impeccable from the moment we walked in to the moment we left hours later. Mistakes happen - especially on a busy holiday shift - but any minor hiccups were swiftly addressed. We felt treated like royalty but then also like old friends by the end of the meal.More infoA16 RockridgePrice: Expensive• Italian• Oakland•4.3
