Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Oakland

Great variety of Saturday brunch / lunch selections ... various poached eggs, including avocado toast, crab cakes, beef burgers, roasted pork, salmon, and nice vegetarian choices. Soup of the day was an excellent squash. One of us ordered a delicious beef burger and the other a very tasty quinoa mushroom spinach burger. Their signature "frites" potatoes were generous and tasty. A shared lemon ricotta cake with berry compote and very good fresh coffee rounded out our lunch perfectly.

Enjoyed their 3 course Thanksgiving dinner. Several items to pick from. The Ricotta Gnocchi with Truffle cream was amazing! The helpings were generous. The table fixings were delicious, and replenished as needed. Leanne was our outstanding waitperson - very attentive & helpful. They went out of their way to work with my food allergies despite how busy it was. Our group of 3 felt it was a perfect choice for our out of town holiday celebration.

Cute spot we chose for our thanksgiving lunch. We were not disappointed. My turkey meal was delicious! I would recommend them for thanksgiving as well as any day of the week and the service was wonderful. My husband had a regularly-served dish and enjoyed it very much. Kid friendly. Thank you to all who took care of us today.

Black Bull steakhouse was the best decision I've made in a long time. I went for an anniversary dinner and it was the most exceptional dining experience I've had in a long time. As someone who has been working full-time in every facet of the hospitality industry, I could not have been more impressed. My meal was the 16 oz Bone-In Filet that was cooked to perfection at Medium Rare, and her meal was the 8 oz. Filet cooked to perfection at medium. The service was prompt, knowledgable and incredibly swift. Leo provided world-class service and he deserves a promotion. If you get the luxury of dining at Black Bull Steakhouse, Leo is the only server I want going forward!

This restaurant is a local favored for many other people that live nearby. I’ve been coming to this restaurant from Connecticut for over 10 years and I’ve never been dissatisfied. The food and service and atmosphere are excellent.
